The Academic Dean highly recommends that the surveys be administered as close to the end of the semester as possible.  Her memo reads,  “…Student Course Evaluation Forms … are to be completed within the last 2 weeks of the semester but as late in the semester as possible.  Completing surveys at the beginning of a class will ensure proper time allotment.”  However, instructors occasionally have valid concerns about using class time in the last two weeks.  Some examples are final class presentations and/or the limits imposed by hybrid or one day per week classes.  Please consider the value of “as close to the end” while considering whether this is beneficial for your students when deciding the “when” to give out the evaluations.
