How do I find books?

Hi YCCC student!
To find books on your topic, you'll want to search in Minerva, the online library catalog. Start your research on the Books, CDs, & DVDs tab on the Library's website.
Try searching in the Minerva catalog using one or two simple keywords that describe your topic.
Here's a sample search on the topic of chocolate
Click on that link to see what we have in the catalog. You can see that the YCCC Library has a few items that might be of interest to you. You can visit the Library to check them out.
If you need more resources than what we have locally, you can broaden your search to other Minerva libraries:
- Click the dropdown button to the right of where it says York County Community College.
- Scroll to the top of the list and select =ALL MINERVA LIBRARIES=
- Click the SEARCH button to run your search in the statewide system.
If you see materials at other libraries that you would like to borrow, you can request them online through the catalog with your name and library barcode. Here are the step-by-step instructions for requesting material from other Minerva libraries.
